Scene kids usually listen to different music genres, for example screamo, techno, dance, hardcore, punk rock, indie rock and skate punk. Most scene kids are between the ages of 13 and 21. Scene girls are obsessed with Hello Kitty stuff and very bright, neon colors. They are often mistaken for emo kids, which is a common misconception. Unlike emo kids, scene kids have good self confidence.

Scene style is famous for its big, colorful and really dramatic haircuts. To style hair in scene way they must be completely straight so straightening iron must be used. While straightening hair you must be very careful, because doing it too much can burn or damage your hair. Scene hair is also very “poofy”, which is created with the help of teasing comb and lots of hair spray. To complete the look cute little hairclips, bows, ribbons or head bands are used.
